Tune-Ups and Preventive Maintenance
Most failures show up mid-January or the first hot week of July. A seasonal tune-up covers the parts most likely to fail and catches the ones already showing wear.
Heating Tune-Up
Heat exchanger inspection, burner and igniter check, flame sensor, blower test, and CO check. Schedule in the fall.
Cooling Tune-Up
Condenser coil cleaning, refrigerant level, capacitor and electrical test, condensate drain flush. Schedule in the spring.
When to Book
Fall for heating, spring for cooling. Book before the season starts, not after it reveals a problem.
